IFA est un conglomérat regroupant les différentes entreprises de transports dans l'Allemagne occupée par l'URSS après la 2ème guerre mondiale. Le camion W50, ici en version militaire, est étudié à partir de 1962 et le premier exemplaire de série est fabriqué le 17 juillet 1965. La production ne cessera qu'en 1990, peu après la chute du mur de Berlin, après 571 831 exemplaires produits.

IFA is a conglomerate of various transport companies in East Germany, occupied by the USSR after World War II. The W50L truck, here dated 1973, was developed from 1962 and the first “series-produced” unit was made on July 17, 1965. Here it wears the colours of ORWO, a company that produced Agfa photographic film and is at the origin of the first colour film in 1936.

IFA is a conglomerate of various transport companies in East Germany, gathered after World War II. IFA sold passenger cars as well as utility vehicles of different sizes. The development of this voluminous  H6, with a payload of six tons, started during the war. This truck was manufactured from 1952 to 1959.

Multicar is a range of small utility vehicles of a company called Hako Gmbh, founded in 1920 under the name ADE-Werk, later integrated into the East German group IFA. The first Multicar, the M21, was released in 1958. This M22 replaced it in 1964. Equipped with a small 800 cc diesel engine developing 15 ch, the M22 only measured 3.50 m/138 in.- long. Within ten years, 42,500 were built.

The development of the W50L started in 1962, and the first series model was assembled on July 17, 1965. After 571,831 units, production stopped in 1990, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
