Over generations, Suzuki has developed specific versions of its small Alto for export, and models only for Japan. For the country of the Rising Sun, this small car must respect the rules of the Keijidosha category, unknown to other markets. Here we have the version presented in Tokyo at the end of 2009 and sold in Japan until the end of 2014.

Known in Europe under the name Vitara, this small 4x4 which dates back to 1988 has always worn the name of Escudo in its home country, Japan. This is the case of this right-hand drive version registered in the city of Osaka, reproduced here by Premium X. Here the top is down, but the Escudo, as well as the Vitara, is also available in a semi-convertible variant.

Launched in 1988 in Japan, where it was called (and is still called, three generations later) Escudo, this small 4x4 is known in Europe as the Vitara. The semi-folding roof 3-door was released first, as shown on this NEO reproduction dated 1995. In some countries, it was first sold under the brand Santana and was imported from Spain.

Produced between 1991 and 1998 in Japan (26,583 units), this cute rear-wheel drive roadster is a keijidosha. These mini-cars benefit from lighter taxes if they comply with a regulated overall size: 3.295 meter-long (or 129 in.) maximum at the time (3.395 m/133 in. today), but also 1.395 meter-large (54.7 in.) and a 660 cc engine. Here, the 3-cylinder turbo develops 64 hp.
