This American manufacturer became famous thanks to this small sports car. Unveiled in summer 2006 and launched in 2008, the Tesla Roadster is based on a Lotus Elise. This explains why the two models look alike, aesthetically and technically, except that the Tesla is an electric car. Nearly 2,500 units were assembled until production was discontinued in 2012.
