In 1994, its body and its aluminium structure were specific to the first-gen A8. This allowed this model to be (a little) less heavy than its rivals, the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. This fourth-generation presented in mid-2017 obviously retains this principle. Here we have the stretched "L" version, which measures 5.30 m/209 in. against 5.17 m/204 in. for the “standard” A8.

The launch of the Q7 in 2005 marked the start of a large Audi family of crossovers and SUVs. After using the letter “A”, numbered from 1 to 8, for its traditional models, Audi added figures (2 to 8) to almost all of its “Q” models. The small Q2 was released in 2016. With its very personal design, it was the first Q model to receive an octagonal grille, which had been hexagonal so far.
