The AK van variant of the 2CV was launched in 1963 to support the AZU, with a longer body. It was a way for Citroën to better respond to a newcomer on the market, the Renault 4 van. The rear overhang is stretched by 20 cm/8 in, while the 602 cc engine is borrowed from the Ami 6. The AK 350 (350 kg payload capacity) was renamed AK 400 from 1970.
