In 1975 Jaguar replaces the famous E-Type with the XJ-S. This model eventually becomes a classic in its own right, but its design and size are initially widely criticised. In 1978, Pininfarina, where Leonardo Fioravanti works, imagines what could have been the “real” successor of the E-Type. He unveils this concept car at the Birmingham Motor Show, which is not followed up.
