Description
Volkswagen devised the “people’s car” convertible version from the beginning, and was ready to launch it in 1939. Produced by Karmann, it was finally released in 1949, four years after the sedan. This 1302 version, launched in 1970, received new front suspensions that increased the capacity of the trunk and widened the tracks. The turning radius was also shorter.
