Description
Produced from 1953 to 1956, the 550 Spyder is mostly famous for being the car driven by James Dean when he got killed in a crash. Its track record includes, among others, a victory in the Carrera Panamericana in its class in 1954. Based on the 356, the 550 naturally received a flat 4-cylinder rear-mounted engine. Only 90 units were built.
