The best known Prinz model is the 1961 Prinz 4, with its “mini-Corvair” design. But the origins of this small German car go back to 1958, with a first, shorter and more old-fashioned Prinz (3.15 m/124 in. instead of 3.44 m/135 in.). In 1958, the rather similar Prinz II (here) was launched to support the Prinz I, with an engine boosted from 20 to 23 hp and a fully synchronized gearbox.
