Description
In 1981, Porsche introduced the 944, an important update of the 924 released in 1975, based on the same platform. The naturally-aspirated 2.5-litre 4-cylinder, delivering 163 hp, results in the discontinuation of the Turbo version of the 924. The 944 S was launched in October 1986, featuring a dual-overhead-cam 16-valve variant of the engine, increasing its power to 190 hp.
