Seulement proposée en coupé (de 5,85 m de long !) par Lincoln, la Mark V est ici dans une version convertie en pick-up en 1979 par une compagnie californienne, Caribou Motor Company, qui avait aussi réalisé le même type d’opération sur des Cadillac. Le moteur est ici un V8 6,6 litres de… 159 ch.

The Continental Mark III was produced from 1969 to 1971. This Lincoln was its luxury version, targeting the Cadillac Eldorado. Here we have the 1971 model year of the MKIII, equipped with a 7.5-litre V8 and only offered in hardtop Coupé. Except for a few units, turned into convertibles.

The Continental Mark III was produced from 1969 to 1971. This Lincoln was its luxury version, targeting the Cadillac Eldorado. Here we have the 1971 model year of the MKIII, only offered in this hardtop Coupé version. The 7.5-litre V8 hidden under the bonnet was common to the entire Lincoln range.

Cette génération de Continental Mark III a été produite de 1969 à 1971 pour ensuite laisser place à la Mark IV. Visant la Cadillac Eldorado, la MKIII recevait le V8 7,5 litres alors commun à toute la gamme Lincoln. Au départ proposée en coupé hardtop, cette Continental profite ici d’une transformation unique d’époque en pick-up sur la base d’un modèle 1971, qui a été restaurée en 2005.
