La Nova appartient à la gamme Chevy II lancée en 1962 et qui va jusqu’à proposer des 4 cylindres. La Nova conserve toutefois des 6 cylindres. Cette génération de voitures américaines, compacte (4,65 m), affiche un style nettement assagi par rapport aux modèles de la fin des années 1950. Il s’agit ici d’un coupé hardtop de 1963, la carrosserie la plus produite, cette année-là, de la Nova.
