The Speed Six won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1929 and 1930. The Blue Train Bentley, one of its versions, owes its nickname to its race against a train, in 1930. The Train Bleu ran between Calais and the French Riviera. Bentley arrived first (of course!). H. J. Mulliner bodied the model that won this race. Later, Gurney Notting is supposed to have designed a second Blue Train Bentley.
Many miniature car manufacturers reproduce prewar Bentleys: Lansdowne Models, Matrix, Neo, GLM or Oxford. Each brand offers a good level of finishing. Obviously, LookSmart’s Blue Train Bentley, made of resin, is one of the most beautiful models.
