This concept car introduced in Chicago at the beginning of 1956 experimented a new kind of station wagon. The passenger compartment has eight seats. Two of them, at the rear, face rearwards on a retractable bench seat. The rear fenders are partially raised to allow access to the wheels in the event of a puncture. Designed by Virgil Exner and made in Italy by Ghia, the Plainsman remained unique.
