Citroën CX break blue (MCG) 1:18

Succédant à l’automne 1974 à la célèbre DS, la CX doit son dessin à Robert Opron, déjà auteur des GS et SM. La berline CX est déclinée dès 1975 en un break, qui repose sur un empattement allongé, commun à la version Prestige. Il s’agit ici d’un break des premières années, avant que la calandre ne soit légèrement redessinée en 1982, mais avec l’appellation 25 TRI qui n’apparaît qu’en 1983.

Land Rover Series 1 1957 (MCG) 1:18

The Land Rover was released in 1948 with an 80-inch chassis, increased to 86 in 1954, then 88 inches in 1957. It was renamed Defender in 1990 and its production was discontinued in 2016. Here we have a 1957 Series 1, the last year before the launch of the Series 2, initially barely updated. This diecast Land Rover is delivered with no soft-top.

Porsche 924 Turbo (MCG) 1:18

In 1975, Porsche launched the 924 to offer a second model, in addition to the 911. Its engine, borrowed from Audi, originally developed 125 hp. But this Turbo, introduced in November 1978, really deserves its Porsche logo with its 170 hp. This version is recognizable by the four air intakes on the bonnet, the small spoiler and the spoke-like rim wheels.

Citroën CX Estate (MCG) 1:18

The CX, whose elegant and very specific body was designed by Robert Opron (also the stylist of the GS and SM), succeeded the famous DS in autumn 1974. The CX estate was added to the sedan variant in 1975 and was based on a (very) long wheelbase, common to the Prestige version. Here we have the diesel 2500D, whose 75 hp 2.5-litre engine replaced the 66 hp 2.2-litre in early 1978.
