This is one of the greatest classics in automotive history. The GT 40 (40 means that it was 40 inch/1.02 m high) was meant for racing but road-going versions were also developed. Launched in 1964 with a 4.7-litre V8, the car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time in 1966, then four years in a row. This #1 finished second in 1966.
