Ferdinand Porsche designed the VW Beetle. Then he created his own brand under his name, imagining a sports car based on the Beetle. That is how the 356 was launched in 1948. This first-generation Speedster version is a 1954 model year that still receives a single rear vent grille. But its windshield is smaller than the convertible variant’s.
