Announced in December 1964, revealed to the public in March 1965 at the Geneva Motor Show, the two-box Renault 16 hatchback was considered half a sedan half a station wagon. Its “fifth door” was unusual at the time, even though the Renault 4 had already been available since 1961. This R16 reproduced by Norev was produced in autumn 1966, when a (small) Renault logo appeared on the grille.
