In 1994, its body and its aluminium structure were specific to the first-gen A8. This allowed this model to be (a little) less heavy than its rivals, the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. This fourth-generation presented in mid-2017 obviously retains this principle. Here we have the stretched "L" version, which measures 5.30 m/209 in. against 5.17 m/204 in. for the “standard” A8.
