In 1990, the Kensington was designed by ItalDesign, directed by Giugiaro, as a proposal for the successor of the Jaguar XJ. Unveiled in grey and non-running, this concept car was later able to hit the road. But it was finally never produced in series. Giugiaro used some of his inspirations for this model on the 1991 Toyota Aristo (the first-gen Lexus GS) and the Daewoo Leganza in 1997.
