Launched in 1929, the Phantom II borrows its 7.7-litre 6-cylinder engine from the Phantom I, but is based on a new chassis. The sportier Continental is a variant based on a shortened wheelbase. 281 Continentals were manufactured, with bodies produced by many coachbuilders, among which Trupp & Maberly and Park Ward. The French coachbuilder Binder designed this version.
