Based on the 1967 Volvo 140, the 240 ended its career in 1993 and is to date the Swedish manufacturer’s most-produced vehicle with 2.9 million units. The station wagon was very popular in the range, which also included a sedan and a coupe. Here we have the Polar series, intended for the Italian market from 1989. There it will become the only 240 available when the 850 was launched in 1992.
