In the 1960s, Abarth was specialised in engine tuning on Fiats and Simcas in particular, but also had its own range of models. The Monomille (“mono” stands for a single camshaft) is based on the Abarth 750 GT Zagato and the 1000 Bialbero, but is more intended for road driving than track racing. This model was released in 1961 and renamed GT from 1963.
