Unveiled in 1986, the 200 Quattro created the buzz. Close to the 1982 Audi 100, which had already caused a sensation by its drag coefficient of 0.30, this high-end version added a 182 hp 2.1-litre turbo engine and an all-wheel drive system. This restyled 200, in 1988, was boosted to 200 hp, before it received, a year later, a 20-valve cylinder head increasing this power to 220 hp.
