Launched in 1959, the 700 was the first BMW with a monocoque chassis. This small sedan, designed by Michelotti in Italy, had another peculiarity: the flat 2-cylinder engine was rear-mounted. Here we have the reproduction of the trim L (Luxury), released in 1962, which gradually became the basic version of the 700. This small BMW disappeared in 1965 without being replaced.
