David Brown, who was the head of Aston Martin, bought the English brand Lagonda in 1947. The “3-Litre” range (actually, the 6-cylinder had a displacement of 2.9 litres), which replaced the “2.6-Litre”, arrived in 1953. First there were the coupe and convertible variants, followed by the 4-door saloon in 1954. Only 270 units of this prestigious small family were produced until 1958.
